Little Green Monsters

Ingredients:
2.5 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 egg
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp milk
2 4-oz. jars of green bean baby food

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.  Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. 

3.  Roll out to 1/2 inch thick on a floured surface.  Cut with bone-shaped cookie cutter and place biscuits on a foil-lined baking sheet.

4. Bake for 25 minutes.

5.  Store treats in an air-tight container in the refridgerator to prolong the life of the treats.

6.  Let your pet enjoy! They even have a green tinge, hence the little green monsters (and I'm from Boston)!

Sorry for the hiatus.  I had a plethora of various treats, and I wanted Melvin to eat those before I made another batch.  I even pawned some off to my dog-owning friends!

So next Tuesday I'll be trying a recipe that I concocted.  One of Melvin's favorite vegetables is green beans, so I'm going to incorporate them into some biscuits.  I think his favorite vegetable is carrots, so I'll have to come up with a recipe with carrots in the future!

Tuna Biscuits!

After the majority of the snickerpoodles were eaten, I decided my next batch of treats would be Tuna Biscuits.  Although Melvin is allergic to almost everything, he's not allergic to seafood and happens to love it! So here they are...

Ingredients:
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 small can tuna in oil--undrained
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup flour

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.  Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl.

3.  Roll out dough on a floured surface until it is about a quarter of an inch thick.

4.  Use cookie cutters to cut out biscuits and place on a foil-lined cookie sheet.

5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.  Cool completely before sharing!

6.  Store in an airtight container and refridgerate for long-lasting treats!
